The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has restored its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) after a temporary technical disruption that affected access to the platform.
With the system back online, JAMB has called on tertiary institutions to accelerate their admission processes to make up for lost time and meet the approved deadlines for the 2026/2027 admission exercise. Candidates who receive admission offers have also been advised to promptly log in and accept them.

Under the approved admission schedule, public universities are expected to conclude their admission exercises by October 31, 2026, while private universities have until November 30. Polytechnics, monotechnics and colleges of education are expected to complete their processes by December 31, 2026.
JAMB also urged candidates who were awaiting their O’Level results to upload or verify their results following the release of the 2026 NECO Senior School Certificate Examination results. The board said this would ensure that candidates’ credentials are available for consideration as institutions intensify admissions.
CAPS is JAMB’s electronic platform for managing tertiary institution admissions, allowing institutions to process admissions while candidates can monitor offers and accept or reject them.
