Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, has launched a statewide mobilisation campaign among All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Oyo State to secure support for President Bola Tinubu and other party candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The campaign began in Ibadan on Sunday, October 11, with meetings involving party leaders, executives and community stakeholders from Ibadan South-East and Ibadan North local government areas. Tegbe called for unity within the party and urged members to intensify grassroots engagement across wards and polling units.
He expressed confidence in the Federal Government’s power sector reforms, saying ongoing interventions could improve electricity supply and boost economic activities. Tegbe disclosed that solar mini-grids were planned for different locations in Oyo State, while electrification projects in Ogbomoso, Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa were nearing completion.
The minister also appealed to APC members to set aside internal differences and work together towards victory in the coming elections. He said the party’s efforts should focus not only on political mobilisation but also on delivering tangible benefits to residents through improved access to electricity.
Oyo State APC governorship candidate, Sharafadeen Alli, who attended the meeting, expressed confidence in Tegbe’s ability to carry out his responsibilities and urged party members to support him. Other APC leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s mobilisation ahead of the 2027 polls.
