Sam Larry Alive After Lagos Crash, Associate Dismisses Death Rumours

An associate of popular socialite and music promoter, Samson Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry, has dismissed reports circulating on social media that he died following a road accident in Lagos.

Akin Abolade, also known as Mr Lilgaga, confirmed that although Sam Larry was involved in a serious crash, he survived the incident and is currently receiving medical attention.

The accident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Saturday along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and involved the vehicle conveying Sam Larry and a trailer.

Videos from the scene showed the vehicle badly damaged after the collision.

The crash reportedly claimed the life of Sam Larry’s bouncer, identified simply as Wale, who was said to have died at the scene.

Concern over the incident grew after comedian and master of ceremonies, Mario Wazobia, appealed to the public on social media to pray for the music promoter, revealing that he had been hospitalised.

Following the accident, unverified reports surfaced online claiming that Sam Larry had died or suffered severe leg injuries that could lead to amputation.

However, Abolade dismissed the claims, stating that he personally spoke with Sam Larry shortly after the accident.

According to him, while the crash was severe, Sam Larry is alive, though he could not confirm reports regarding the extent of his injuries.

Further details on his condition are yet to be officially released.
