During the interview, the host mentioned Bakare among his favourite actresses, prompting a reaction from Badmus that viewers interpreted as dismissive.

Responding to the controversy, Badmus acknowledged that her reaction may have offended Bakare and expressed regret over how it came across. She explained that personal differences should not prevent people from choosing peace, adding that she wished her colleague well despite their disagreements.
